Conditions for Release of Payment
The following conditions will impact the release of your student funding:
- If you are 22 years or older, and this is the first time you are applying for funding for post-secondary studies, you must pass a credit check. Your funding is conditional on having a satisfactory credit history.
- If you have applied online for student funding, you may be mailed an Electronic Confirmation of Financial Information letter. You must read, sign and return the completed letter immediately. Your funding will be withheld until the letter is received with your signature.
- If you are a dependent student, your parents must sign this letter
- If you are married/common law, your spouse/partner must sign this letter
 |
NOTE: If Students Finance has not mailed you an Electronic Confirmation of Financial Information letter, then these conditions do not apply to you. |
- Your educational institution must confirm that you are registered as a full-time student in the program you selected, and for the period of study for which you applied for funding.
- Your personal and program information on your funding application must match the information you used to register at the educational institution.
- You must report any changes to this information to Students Finance and your educational institution. Inconsistent information will cause delays in the confirmation process which will delay your funding.
